Joanna Lynn-Jacobs
Joanna Lynn-Jacobs (she/they) is a Santa Barbara raised, Los Angeles based singer and mover. She first performed with Four Larks in their co-production of Frankenstein at The Wallis Annenberg in Beverly Hills, in which she sang the roles of “Elizabeth Lavenza” and the “Female Monster.” Originally from a traditional operatic background, Joanna finds herself thriving in new and experimental works, including most recently Wayne Shorter and Esperanza Spaulding’s premier tour of their opera (…Iphigenia) produced by Real Magic and Octopus Theatricals, as well as Ash Fure and LILLETH’s dynamic performance installation Hive Rise, with the Industry and MOCA in Los Angeles. Previously, Joanna starred in the Los Angeles Philharmonic's production of Atlas written by Meredith Monk and directed by Yuval Sharon. This year she is thrilled to be joining the company of Meredith Monk’s Cellular Songs in both the ECM album recording and their upcoming world tour.
