Max Louis Baumgarten
Max (he/him) has performed and developed new work with four larks since 2009, most recently as the Creature in Frankenstein (Ovation Award for Best Actor & Best Ensemble) and the title character in The Temptation of St Antony (Ovation Award for Best Ensemble). He has created work with four larks in Oakland (The Master & Margarita, 2009) and Melbourne (The Fate of Franklin & his Gallant Crew, 2011) and set the company up in his hometown of LA, starting with Orpheus in 2014.
Max continued to manage and curate a pop-up art space at Basic Flowers following the first run of The Temptation of St Antony, before moving to Las Vegas to create and perform an original role in Spiegelworld's Opium at the Cosmopolitan. Max is a founding member of LA clown collective Wet The Hippo ( Simple Simples ) as well as Dr. Brown's Monday night crew ( The Epic of Gerald ).
