Christin Turner

Christin Turner is a filmmaker and video artist whose work seeks to change our ideas of the past and honor traditions with a new and more modern outlook. Turner’s use of color, light, and sound has been described as painterly, impressionistic, and psychedelic. She is currently working on Dreaming in Red, an essay film connecting Pompeii, Cinema, and women's search for the Self through the ages. Her experimental films have been featured on vdrome.org and Frieze, screening at a variety of venues including the Museum of Modern Art, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Karlovy-Vary, Ann Arbor, Edinburgh, 25FPS, Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and Kurzfilmtage Hamburg where she was awarded the De-Framed Prize (2017). Her work has been supported with residencies at MacDowell, the Bogliasco Foundation and the Villa Sträuli. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany and Los Angeles, CA.
