Peer Gynt

Around the world and deep into the darkest woods. Original libretto adapted from Henrik Ibsen's epic poem and corresponding Nordic lore. Premiered in a disused auto-repair garage in outside of Melbourne in December 2010.

Staged with an ensemble of twelve actor musicians in an immersive maze of doors, windows, reclaimed wood and fabric, farm equipment, bales of pea-straw, and sheets of corrugated metals. Scored for double bass, akkordion, banjo, harp, two violins, autoharp, glock and musical saw.
