The Dark Night at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

We’ve been invited to create a new work for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The concert will feature Aureliano Cattaneo‘s La Nuit Sombre, played alongside Mozart‘s Gran Partida, with Four Larks‘ immersive design and choreography. The performance takes inspiration from Jan Patacki‘s The Manuscript Found at Saragossa, and from the Venetian Gothic architecture of Cincinnati’s magnificent Music Hall. Audiences will be initiated into a masked ceremony, centered around the acclaimed orchestra, under the baton of Matthias Pintscher. This performance, conceived, staged and designed by Mat Sweeney & Sebastian Peters-Lazaro, continues our ongoing collaboration with Mr. Pintscher, and will feature performances from Joanna Lynn-Jacobs, Anna Schubert, and Gavin Gamboa.
