Undine ~ November 2017 ~ Four Larks

Undine is a sonic and visual feast collaged from voices, instruments and found objects, performed by an incredible slate of innovators from across LA's musical spectrum.

Sirens, Sea-monsters, and Synesthesia! Drought and Deluge! Visions of Undines, water elementals, appear in different guises across world mythology. In German lore, they dole a curse of sleeplessness upon their mortal paramour. This song-cycle delves into a sleepless delirium where music, myth and memory intertwine, where the ocean becomes a mirror to humankind’s deepest fears and desires.

The concert runs for approximately 45 minutes in Four Larks' secret downtown speakeasy (across from Grand Central Market). Directions will be revealed to the uninitiated upon booking.
